Gym Owners
Mark a promo code as eligibility-restricted so it can only be used by the person who qualifies — with an optional rule that lets one dependent use it if the eligible parent isn't training.
Some discounts belong to a specific person — a military, veteran, or first responder rate. CombatScore lets you flag a promo code as eligibility-restricted so it isn't quietly applied to someone who doesn't qualify, while still giving you a sane way to honor it for a qualifying parent's kid.
When you create a promo code (Dashboard → Gym → Billing → Promo codes), set Eligibility restriction to Military / Veteran / First responder / Other and give it a short label (e.g. "Military discount"). A restriction of None is an ordinary promo anyone can use.
A restricted code, by default, can only be used by the eligible member — not handed to a dependent.
Sometimes the qualifying person doesn't train themselves but wants their kid to get the rate. You decide whether to allow that:
Dashboard → Gym → Billing settings → "Allow eligibility discounts to transfer to one dependent."
When that's on, a restricted code can be applied to one dependent — but only if the eligible member (the household's account holder/payer) isn't also enrolled as a paying member. In other words: the veteran parent can pass their rate to one child as long as they aren't training on it themselves.
When it's off, the code is usable only by the eligible member, and applying it to a dependent is refused.
Any time a restricted code lands on a dependent's line — even when it's allowed — that line is flagged for your review in the household manager (an amber "Review" badge). That's your cue to confirm the eligibility is legitimate.
A transferred eligibility discount is tied to the eligible member's management of that dependent. It's removed from the next billing cycle automatically when:
The member and the payer are notified, and the next bill is the full amount.
If you believe an eligibility discount is being abused — say, a military rate applied to a kid whose parent is actually the one training — you can pull it directly. See Removing a member's discount.
