Auto-Renewal Disclosure
Last updated: May 28, 2026
Plain summary
A recurring membership at a gym on CombatScore is an AUTO-RENEWING SUBSCRIPTION. It renews on a set schedule and continues to charge your payment method until you cancel. Cancel any time from your wallet at combatscore.app/dashboard/wallet.
What you agree to at signup
When you start a recurring membership you authorize the GYM to charge the payment method on file for each future RENEWAL TERM at the price shown at signup, including any applicable tax. The authorization stays in effect until cancellation.
The RENEWAL TERM length and price are set by the GYMand shown clearly above the “Subscribe” button at checkout. The card statement descriptor names the GYM.
Cancellation
You may cancel any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period. You retain access through the period end.
How to cancel:
- Open
combatscore.app/dashboard/wallet. - Tap or click the membership you want to cancel.
- Confirm cancellation.
The flow takes three clicks. There is no retention call, no chat gate, and no email-required step.
Pre-renewal reminder
The platform emails a renewal reminder before each renewal. The default reminder is seven days before. For annual memberships in California, New York, Illinois, and other states that require longer notice, the platform sends the reminder at the statutory deadline.
The reminder shows the renewal date, the price that will be charged, and a direct link to the cancellation flow.
Price changes
The GYM may change the price of a recurring membership. The platform notifies you by email at least thirty days before the new price applies. You may cancel before the new price takes effect.
Failed payments
If a charge fails, Stripe retries the card up to three times over fourteen days. The platform emails you on the first failure with a link to update the card. After the third failure, the subscription cancels automatically and access ends.
Holds and pauses
The GYM may allow you to pause a subscription instead of cancelling. Paused subscriptions do not renew while paused. The default pause cap is ninety days per year; the GYM may set a different cap.
State-specific rights
California Civil Code section 17602 (CARLA), New York General Business Law section 527-a, Illinois 815 ILCS 601/, and similar statutes in other states grant you specific cancellation and disclosure rights. Where this disclosure is silent or conflicts with applicable law, the law controls.
