How CombatScore handles under-13 accounts — managed-only, no direct sign-in, locked-private profile, parent controls every right. Two-tier minor flow for 13–17.
CombatScore is COPPA-compliant. The short version: children under 13 cannot have their own account on CombatScore. They can only exist as managed-kid profiles under a parent or guardian who controls every aspect of the account.
CombatScore distinguishes two age bands:
Under 13. Strict COPPA mode.
13–17. Restricted minor mode.
The cutoff is based on date of birth at signup. The age band updates automatically when the kid has a birthday.
For every kid you manage:
You can revoke the gym's view of the kid at any time.
For an under-13 kid:
For a 13+ kid:
They can claim their account. See Aged-out claim for the flow. You lose write access; the kid becomes a normal adult athlete.
If two parents share a kid, both can have authority via family links. See Co-managers and spouses.
