Start here (athletes)
You're new to CombatScore. Here's the shortest path from "just signed up" to "tracking like a vet."
Day 1 — sign up + join a gym
- Create your account. Email + password, or sign in with Google.
- Onboarding wizard. Pick your primary discipline (BJJ, MMA, wrestling, striking, etc.) and current rank. This sets up your belt rack and tunes the rest of the app.
- Join your gym. Either tap the invite link your gym sent you, or search for your gym on the dashboard and tap Request to join. Sign the waiver. See Joining a gym.
Day 2 — log your first session
Tap a Quick Log pill on the dashboard (Gi, No-Gi, Open Mat, Sparring, Drilling, Striking, S&C) or hit Log Session for the full form. See Logging a session.
Your streak starts at 1.
Day 3-6 — build the habit
The platform rewards consistency over volume. Three things to keep an eye on:
- Streak. Days in a row you trained (or logged a rest day). Visible on the dashboard hero.
- Weekly goal. A target the platform sets based on your history. Crush it for a streak bonus.
- Combat score. The aggregate metric. Climbs with sessions, rounds, and rated performance. See Combat score explained.
Day 7 — explore deeper
By the end of week 1 you've earned the right to try:
- Partner matching. Find drilling partners at your gym. See Partner matching.
- Mobile app. Download CombatScore on iOS/Android and use the voice-log shortcut on the way home from class.
- Progress tab. See your training history charted, your belt timeline, and any promotions your coach has logged.
When things go sideways
- Logged the wrong thing? Tap the session → edit or delete. Soft-deleted sessions recover for 30 days.
- Joined the wrong gym? Settings → Memberships → Leave gym.
- Stuck? Every help icon in the app opens an article like this one. The full help center lives at /help.
