Family & Kids
The account holder manages a household's memberships — separate from who pays. Full control over every plan in the group, and the role can be transferred by the holder or, in a pinch, the gym.
Every household billing group has one account holder — the person responsible for managing the memberships inside it. The account holder has full reign over every plan under their control: add or remove people, apply or change discounts, and transfer the whole thing to someone else.
Usually they're the same person, but they don't have to be. You can be the account holder for your family even if a different adult's card is the one being charged — the holder is established regardless of who pays.
A member who isn't the holder can still manage their own line — for example, adding a discount code to their own membership.
Life happens — someone stops training, moves, or can no longer manage the family's billing. The role can be handed off two ways:
You transfer it yourself. Go to Dashboard → Membership → Household → Transfer, enter the new holder's email and (optionally) tick:
The new holder gets a request and has to accept before it takes effect.
The gym transfers it for you. If you can't act — you've left, or worse — a gym owner can initiate the transfer. If the person they're handing it to is already the one paying, it takes effect right away; otherwise that person still has to accept.
If someone asks you to become an account holder, you'll see it on Dashboard → Membership (and get an email). Review the household, then Accept to take over or Decline to leave things as they are.
