CombatScore cooperates with law enforcement to keep our community safe.
Required cooperation
We respond to valid legal process, including:
- Subpoenas
- Court orders
- Search warrants
We require properly authorized requests on the appropriate letterhead from a sworn officer or authorized agent.
Voluntary cooperation
In addition to required cooperation, we may voluntarily report or share information when:
- We suspect a crime against a child.
- We receive a credible imminent threat to anyone's safety.
- A user explicitly authorizes us to share their information.
NCMEC reporting
For incidents involving suspected child sexual exploitation, we voluntarily report to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) when appropriate.
User notification
When we receive legal process about you, we will notify you UNLESS we are legally prohibited from doing so (e.g., by gag order).
Preservation
We retain content involved in active investigations or any safety report for 7 years to support investigations and litigation.
What we will not do
- We do not provide bulk surveillance access.
- We do not provide user content without legal process (except in the voluntary cooperation cases above).
