Terms of Service

By creating an account or using the CombatScore mobile app or website (“the Service”), operated by Four13 Studios LLC, based in Oklahoma, USA, you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

These Terms apply to all users, including free-tier and Premium subscribers.

CombatScore is an AI-powered Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training journal that allows you to log training sessions, receive AI coaching feedback, and track your progress over time. The Service includes a mobile app (iOS and Android) and a web dashboard.

AI coaching disclaimer: AI responses generated by CombatScore are for informational and training inspiration purposes only. They do not constitute professional coaching, medical, or physiotherapy advice. Always consult a qualified professional before making significant changes to your training or diet, and train within your physical limits.

• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You may not share your account with others or create accounts on behalf of another person without their consent.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

Free tier

The free tier includes unlimited session logging and access to basic features. New accounts receive 20 AI coaching messages to get started. After the onboarding allowance is used, free accounts receive 10 AI coaching messages per week, shared across all coaching modes. These limits are enforced server-side.

Premium subscription

Premium is available in two billing options:

• $9.00 USD per month, billed monthly
• $90.00 USD per year, billed annually (equivalent to $7.50/month)

Premium subscribers receive:

• Unlimited AI coaching messages across all modes (BJJ, Nutrition, S&C, Mobility)
• All features included in the free tier

Billing and cancellation

Subscriptions are billed via Stripe on a monthly or annual cycle depending on the plan selected. You can cancel at any time through the Stripe customer portal (Dashboard → Profile → Manage subscription). Upon cancellation, Premium access continues until the end of the current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial billing periods, including unused portions of annual subscriptions.

Price changes

We reserve the right to change subscription pricing. We will give you at least 30 days’ notice before any price change takes effect for your subscription.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to send automated or scripted requests to the AI API
• Attempt to circumvent free-tier limits by creating multiple accounts
• Upload content that is illegal, harmful, or violates any third party’s rights
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
• Use the Service in any way that could damage, disable, or impair our infrastructure

You retain ownership of all training data, notes, and media you upload to CombatScore. By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, and display your content solely to provide the Service to you.

We do not claim ownership of your training data and will not use it for purposes beyond providing the Service (see our Privacy Policy).

The CombatScore app, website, branding, and AI prompt designs are our intellectual property. Nothing in these Terms grants you a right to use our trademarks, logos, or trade names.

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI responses will be accurate or suitable for your specific training needs.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including injury sustained during training following AI coaching suggestions.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim.

You may delete your account at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We will delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

CombatScore is a platform. When you buy a membership, drop-in, event ticket, or storefront item through a gym on CombatScore, the contract for that purchase is between you and the GYM. The GYM is the merchant of record. CombatScore facilitates payment via Stripe Connect and takes a platform fee.

Recurring memberships

Recurring memberships are auto-renewing subscriptions. The renewal cadence and price are disclosed at signup and again in the renewal reminder. See the Auto-Renewal Disclosure for full terms and cancellation steps.

Drop-ins, classes, events, and storefront

One-time purchases follow the gym’s posted refund policy and the platform-level Refund Policy. Storefront purchases are also governed by the Storefront Terms.

Payment data

Card data is handled by Stripe. CombatScore is PCI SAQ A — we do not touch raw card numbers. Saved payment methods stored against your account are tokenized by Stripe and stored as tokens only.

Chargebacks

You may dispute any charge with your card issuer. Contact the gym first; most disputes resolve faster directly. The gym may suspend access while a chargeback is open; reinstated disputes may be re-collected from the payment method on file.

Minors

Charges associated with a minor account require an adult GUARDIAN on the account who accepts financial responsibility for those charges.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which we are incorporated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
