AI Safety Policy
Version 1.0 · Effective 2026-05-22
CombatScore uses AI features (Coach AI, session insights, technique suggestions). This page explains what they do, what they refuse, and the protections in place.
What our AI does
- Provides training-related suggestions and information based on your input.
- Summarizes training sessions you've logged.
- Generates drill ideas and game-plan recommendations.
- Helps you reflect on your training journey.
AI-generated responses are clearly labeled as AI-generated. Always consult qualified professionals for medical, legal, or safety decisions.
What our AI refuses
Our AI is configured to decline:
- Medical advice. ('I think I tore my ACL' → 'Please see a medical professional.')
- Legal advice.
- Financial advice.
- Injury treatment instructions.
- Anything illegal.
- Anything sexually explicit.
- Anything targeting or involving a minor inappropriately.
If you encounter a response that seems wrong, report it via your account settings or at /safety/report.
AI and minors
- Disabled by default for children under 13.
- For athletes 13-17: explicit parent opt-in required. AI conversations are parent-visible.
- All AI conversations involving minors are reviewed by our safety moderation system (see Moderation).
What we store
- AI conversations are stored to support feature functionality and dispute resolution.
- Unflagged conversations: retained 90 days.
- Flagged conversations: retained 7 years to support safety investigations.
- Adults can opt out of automatic AI safety scanning of their own conversations (except where reported or a power dynamic applies).
What we don't do
- We don't sell your AI conversation content to third parties.
- We don't use your conversations to train external models.
- We don't claim AI responses are medical, legal, or financial advice.
