Exploitation Policy
Version 1.0 · Effective 2026-05-22
CombatScore has zero tolerance for exploitation of any user — particularly minors — by anyone on our platform.
What we mean by exploitation
Exploitation includes but is not limited to:
- Sexual abuse or grooming behavior
- Coercive control or manipulation
- Financial exploitation (extortion, fraud, theft)
- Emotional manipulation, especially of minors
- Off-platform contact attempts initiated by adults with minors they met on the platform
- Use of the platform to facilitate illegal activity
What we do to prevent exploitation
- No platform-mediated direct messaging for any athlete under 18 in our current product
- AI-powered safety review on all communications involving minors (when communication features are enabled)
- Identity verification for coaches who teach minors
- Parent visibility into all minor activity on the platform
- Strict controls on photos involving minors
- Required acknowledgment of our Coach Code of Conduct
What we do NOT do
- We do not perform criminal background checks on coaches, gym owners, or athletes. Background-check responsibility lies with the gym.
- We are not a substitute for parental supervision.
- We are not a mandatory reporter under federal law (we are a platform, not a school, hospital, or religious institution), but see our Law Enforcement Cooperation policy below.
How to report
If you observe or experience exploitation on CombatScore: file a report here. Anonymous reporting is available.
What happens when we receive a report
We triage every report. Reports involving minors receive immediate review. Substantiated reports may result in:
- Account suspension or termination
- Permanent ban from the platform and our network
- Voluntary report to law enforcement
- Voluntary report to NCMEC (where applicable)
- Cooperation with any criminal investigation
We retain content involved in any safety report for 7 years to support investigations and litigation.
What we will not do
- We will not retaliate against good-faith reporters.
- We will not silence reporters or require them to withdraw a report as a condition of using the platform.
- We will not knowingly delete content under investigation.
Contact
